The committee exists to promote the professional development of teachers of mathematics.

Most recently, the Committee has been finding ways in which we can implement the Membership survey results and feedback.

Making the most of Manipulatives - Jonathan Hall

This workshop will take a look at a range of popular manipulatives and demonstrate how they can be used to model and explain mathematical ideas.
During the session, we will showcase some of their best uses and explore some exciting and pedagogically rich tasks you can take away and use in the classroom.
This session is perfect for anyone wanting to get into manipulatives but unsure where to start!

About Jonathan

With over 18 years in Maths education, Jonathan has made significant contributions to the maths community with the creation of several well-known websites, most notably MathsBot widely used extensively by teachers around the world. An active participant in conferences and on social media, he shares innovative classroom ideas and resources.
