The committee exists to promote the professional development of teachers of mathematics.

Most recently, the Committee has been finding ways in which we can implement the Membership survey results and feedback.

The webinar is for everyone who wishes to understand more about how to address maths anxiety or avoidance..

This may include teachers - of any subject - teaching assistants, parents and adults who know someone who avoids maths.

If we can address maths anxiety it is as if we take off the emotional handbrake  on maths progress, starting from wherever the learner feels secure.

Sue Johnston-Wilder, University of Warwick
Sue is associate professor of Maths Education and a Coach for Mathematical Resilience. Her background is secondary maths teaching, teacher-development, mentoring and coaching. Over the last 15 years, she specialised in addressing maths anxiety and has co-developed the Mathematical Resilience framework. She is co-founder of the international Mathematical Resilience Network
