Most recently, the Committee has been finding ways in which we can implement the Membership survey results and feedback.

Title:  Content vs Skill

Presenter:  Richard Perring, South Dartmoor Community College, Devon Secondary Teacher Training Group, Babcock LDP, National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics.

Abstract:  The Mathematics Programmes of Study have the stated aims of developing fluency, mathematical reasoning and problem solving.  Is there space in the timetable for all of this?!  In this session we'll explore and work on types of task (and ways of using them) that might offer opportunities to develop two or three of these at the same time.
