Title: My favourite lesson: primary and secondary
Presenters: Gary Setchell (Bournville Junior School), Ben Orlin (King Edwards School)
Date: Thursday, 15th June 2017
Time: 7.00 for 7.15pm start. Finishing 8.45pm.
Summary: This session will be a sharing of one of our favourite lessons. Gary is a primary maths coordinator and SLE, and Ben is a secondary mathematics teacher and blogger (mathwithbaddrawings.com). Together they will each share one of their favourite lessons and why they find these lessons so productive. In addition, they will be asking you to come prepared to share one of your favourite lessons as well to a small group of five other teachers, who will also share theirs with you. You will have only five minutes each for that sharing, so do not plan a long speech!
So come prepared to get a lot of lesson ideas which have worked well for other teachers as well as being prepared to share your own favourite lesson.
Venue: Room 422 (Fourth floor), School of Education, University of Birmingham
Contact: Please email Lindsay Francome (L.Francome@bishopullathorne.co.uk) to let us know you intend to come; it helps with organising drinks.
