Kavli Education Medal 1 October 2013

This medal, awarded for impact in the field of science and mathematics education, was presented to Professor Margaret Brown of King's College London on 30th September 2013. Margaret was the MA President from 1990-91. She gave a talk on balancing aspirations with realism before being presented with the award by Professor John Pethica, FRS. She was awarded the Kavli Education Medal in recognition of her significant impact on mathematics education within the UK. The Kavli Education Medal is awarded biennially (in odd years) for "an individual who has made a significant impact on science or mathematics education within the UK".
