Maths Hubs 2 July 2014

The Mathematical Association welcomes the news that the government is investing in the mathematical education of our children through the new Maths Hub initiative. We hope that the lead schools will take this opportunity to support every school in improving their maths provision, understanding and pedagogy. We look forward to the chance to work with not only the lead schools but also their strategic partners and member schools.
We recognise the need to construct a more knowledgeable and extensive workforce. We hope that, working together with key partners including the subject associations, Hubs will support schools in improving their recruitment and retention, be fully prepared for the changes to the curriculum, and have the opportunity to take part in valued research-based improvements.
