The Mathematical Association is saddened to learn of the death of Andrew Jobbings 16 July 2019

The Mathematical Association is saddened to learn of the death of Andrew Jobbings who died on July 10 2019.  He died peacefully at home with family.  Andrew had been ill for some time and earlier this year was diagnosed with a degenerative disease, and more recently was further diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Andrew was an Assistant Editor of The Mathematical Gazette and contributed articles and notes to the Gazette.  He was presented with the UKMT Outstanding Volunteer Contribution Award at the IMOK marking earlier this year.

Andrew’s brother has confirmed that his funeral will take place at 11:40am on Monday, 29 July at Rawdon Crematorium, Leeds.
