Chris Pritchard to become the MA's President in 2021, its 150th Birthday Year! 18 September 2019

The Mathematical Association is delighted to announce that Dr Christopher Pritchard is to be the 2021-22 President.  Chris is a retired teacher, the bulk of his teaching having been in secondary schools in Scotland.  He is co-editor of Mathematics in School.   Chris has been the MA Chair of Teaching Committee and the MA Secretary and continues on its Council as a Member without Office.

Chris is a published author having written A Square Peg in a Round Hole, A Common Family Weakness for Statistics, The Room in the Elephant and he edited The Changing Shape of Geometry for the MA, The Mathematical Association of America and Cambridge University Press.  Outside his MA work Chris has been Chair of the Scottish Mathematical Council and prior to that position was the SMC Journal Editor.
