Mathematics Associations Announce Joint Conference on "Future Proofing the Curriculum" for 2025
The Association of Mathematics Education Teachers (AMET), the Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM), the Mathematical Association (MA), the National Association of Mathematics Advisors (NAMA), and the National Association for Numeracy and Mathematics in Colleges (NANAMIC) are pleased to announce a collaborative conference set to take place from April 14 to 16, 2025. Hosted at the Holywell Conference Centre in Loughborough, this event brings together educators, advisors, and enthusiasts under the theme “Future Proofing the Curriculum.”
This unique joint conference aims to foster both professional growth and community among members of all five associations as well as non-members. It offers participants an engaging opportunity to explore forward-thinking strategies and ideas that will shape the future of mathematics education. The programme includes a wide range of sessions designed to inform, inspire, and encourage innovative thinking in a collaborative, in a face-to-face setting.
Delegates will have access to an array of workshops and talks covering the latest developments in mathematics education, allowing attendees to tailor a professional development experience to meet their individual needs and goals. This conference represents a significant opportunity for those in the field of mathematics education to stay at the forefront of new practices and insights while connecting with peers from across mathematics education.
Invitations to submit session proposals are now open. Sessions are an essential part of making the conference a success and contribute to the professional development of conference participants. With the conference being titles ‘Future Proofing the Curriculum’, it is hoped that session proposals may be inspired by this theme. The closing date for session proposal submissions is 2nd January 2025.
