Active Teachers and Members of the MA can apply for a Branches Bursary

Our Branches Committee is also pleased to announce that they will offer a bursary to cover the cost of one full place at the Joint Conference of Mathematical Subject Associations ‘Future Proofing the Curriculum’ (FPTC) at Holywell Conference Centre, Loughborough. 

The conference includes three in-person conference days and two nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast from 14th – 16th April, staying at The Link Hotel

The conference offers an invaluable opportunity to explore new ideas and make social and professional connections in a stimulating environment that encourages face-to-face sharing and learning. 

This flagship event will bring together experts in the field of mathematics to deliver a series of keynote and breakout sessions. Delegates can select from a fantastic selection of workshops and talks to devise a highly personalised professional development and enrichment experience of exceptional quality. 

 

Applications are encouraged from anyone satisfying the following conditions that the person will be:

  • A first-time delegate at a MA conference
  • A member of the MA
  • Prepared to write a report on their experiences at the conference for publication in Mathematical Angles, on our website etc.

This funding is open to teachers of mathematics from primary school to A-Level or equivalent (inclusive of STEP/AEA) who are members of The Mathematical Association.
