Professional Development Committee

The committee exists to promote the professional development of teachers of mathematics.

Most recently, the Committee has been finding ways in which we can implement the Membership survey results and feedback.

If you would be interested in joining the Professional Development Committee please get in touch, email alice.hall@m-a.org.uk to find out more or tweet our PD Chair @pdLouiseP

Thursday 24th November 2022, from 5.00pm to 6.00 pm.

An  ‘in-person’ event, Venue TBC

Despite all of science’s spectacular successes, we still know almost nothing about the nature of 95% of the mass and energy in the Universe. These are the mysterious dark matter and dark energy that are known to exist from indirect observations but which have never been directly observed. I will the evidence for these components and possible explanations and current attempts to pin down their nature.
